We are very close to Bedfont Lakes, Shepperton Studio’s, Kew Gardens, Hampton Court, Thorpe Park, Chessington World Of Adventures, Windsor Castle, Legoland, Twickenham Rugby Ground and Sandown Park, Kempton Park Race Course and of course Heathrow which is very close to us. But we are NOT in a direct flight path & it is still very quiet. Feltham Train station a 12-minute walk away. 117 & 235 Bus service just at the top of our road. Pubs only 1 min away, 12 mins walk from a large Cinema, bowling, Bingo, arcades and restaurants complex. Shops and amenities close by.

You will receive a very warm and friendly welcome from Heather and Keith. We are in our third year at the Carlee but we are experienced hoteliers, having previously run hotels in Newquay and Weymouth.

All our 11 bedrooms are en-suite, with 2 double rooms on the ground floor. We have a guaranteed car park space for every bedroom, with secure parking at the rear of the hotel.

The quality of the Carlee is recognised with our Quality Plus award. The Carlee is located just south of the town centre on Park Road, which is on the way into Blackpool from the M55. Blackpool Tower, Central Promenade, Winter Gardens, Grand Theatre and the shops, markets, and restaurants are only a 10-15 minute walk.

There is a bus stop outside the hotel if you would prefer a ride into town. If you are visiting Blackpool for the illuminations it is only a short walk to catch a tram to wonder at the magic of the Golden Mile and the 5 miles of the lights. You can also ride the trams to Cleveleys and Fleetwood market.

If it's thrills you want you must visit the world famous pleasure beach, Why not see the sharks and many more species of fish take a trip to the sea life centre.). Blackpool Tower was another seaside feat of Victorian engineering and has always been known for its' quality entertainment. It has recently been restored to its' former glory. The Golden Mile is stocked full of amusement arcades, gift shops and plenty of places to get all the jokes and novelty goods you could want. Rub shoulders with the stars at Louis Tussaud's Waxworks - if you're feeling brave enough why not check out the Chamber of Horrors!!

Blackpool also has a high reputation in the North West for its clubbing scene with a number of high quality nightclubs and wine bars available. Combine this with a number of traditional pubs in the area, most offering free entertainment, and you are all set for a great night out whatever your taste.

The shopping centre at Blackpool is mostly concentrated around the Central area and comprises of a number of high street brand named stores as well as novelty gift shops, markets and joke shops. Alternatively, take the tram to Fleetwood and visit the many markets that Fleetwood has to offer.

We have 4 family rooms, 6 doubles (including the two on the ground floor) and 1 single room. All have central heating, double-glazing, colour TV and complimentary tea/coffee. Our bedrooms are all a good size, with well-appointed en suites. Non-smoking bedrooms are available.

We welcome families with children of all ages, couples and senior citizens. We accept bookings from mixed groups by advance registration only. We will also accept 1-night bookings.

Our full English breakfasts are served in our spacious dining room. Special diets are catered for but please let us know in advance of your arrival.

Chris & Heidi welcome you to Penrose, their beautiful AA 4 star rated Victorian home with spacious rooms and plenty of original features.

We have a range of family/double/twin ensuite rooms, bar one small twin with a separate but private bathroom (bathrobes are provided). A couple of the bedrooms are on the ground floor. All the bedrooms have TV, DVD/CD player, hairdryer, extensive beverage tray, bottled mineral water, sweets, and toiletries. The ensuites have electric showers plus fresh towels, shampoo/conditioner and shower gel.

Breakfast is full cooked English, which comprises of bacon, sausage, fried or scrambled egg, hash brown, tomato, black pudding, mushrooms and vegetarian sausage, plus as much cereal, toast, orange juice, fruit, jam & marmalade and tea & coffee as you want. If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know in advance and we will try our best to help you.

There is an online booking service on our website. We also offer free Wifi internet in the house, and there is a computer in the dining room for all to use.

We are now offering a Cornish Cream Tea between 4pm & 6pm, this consists of home made scones & jam with clotted cream and a choice of teas or filter coffee.

We are open all year, and we welcome children of all ages, plus dogs & pets as we only have a cat. Wedding parties and large family groups are also welcome.

There is off road parking, and the garden is for all to share, and there are several seating areas. Smoking is fine in the garden, but not in the house as we have a fire alarm.

Lostwithiel is the antiques capital of Cornwall and has many pubs, restaurants, a river walk, church, museum, castle, teashops and many interesting and varied shops etc within a 10-minute walk of Penrose.

There are lots of amenities close by, including a golf course, train station, outdoor activities by local arrangement, castle, coastal walks, cycling, gardens, fishing, sailing and of course The Eden Project. The local beach is a 10-minute drive away and the north west coast is only 40 minutes. Lostwithiel is well placed to explore the whole of Cornwall.
